What do I need to know before I buy a TUSHY Ace?Updated 2 years ago

Before you buy, unbox and kneel before your throne, double check:

  1. Your toilet bowl shape.
Check if you've got a round or elongated toilet bowl, as we sell round and elongated TUSHY Ace configurations. If you're not sure how to check, we made an article for you!
  2. Your toilet style.
Is it the Standard, the Skirted, the French Curve or the Flushometer? This will inform whether you need a special parts kit, or if there might be any fit issues. We cover all the details here.
  3. Your water connection.
Do you have a flexible hose or a rigid pipe at your toilet's water connection?
If you've got a flexible hose like the image on the left, you're all set! If you've got a rigid pipe like the one on the right, you'll just need to pick up a flexible hose to swap in, which you can grab right here!
  4. Your outlet situation.
Is your grounded 3-prong electrical outlet within 3 feet of the toilet? If not, you'll need an extension cord. We've got a few recommendations for extension cords here, but any 3-prong extension cord should be fine. Next, check the outlet itself!
If it looks like the one on the left, that's a GFCI outlet. You're all set!
If it looks like the one on the right, you'll need to get an electrician to replace that outlet with a GFCI 3-prong outlet.
If you don't have an outlet in your bathroom, you won't be able to install the TUSHY Ace. You can install an outlet through TaskRabbit or check out the TUSHY Spa instead!
